Kicking Off the Career Journey

David began his career in the early 1990s as a researcher in the Political Unit at CBS News in Washington, D.C. After his time at CBS, David worked as an Assignment Editor and Field Producer for CBS in Philadelphia, where he further developed his skills.

Comcast: A Stepping Stone

In 1999, David Shane PR joined Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and quickly rose through the ranks. He initially served as Director of Communications and established a regional corporate communications model that was later replicated across the company. His success in this role led to his promotion to Vice President of Communications and Original Programming in 2001. David was the primary spokesperson for Comcast’s largest operating division, with $8 billion in annual revenue and 18,000 employees.
